Seed Pod Urn or Jar with Silver Sheen
This unusual urn or decorative jar is based on a study of seed pods I made this spring. It is a terra cotta colored pod which is opening to release its black and silver seeds. The lid has a squash bud knob and 3 sepals. The photo barely picks it up, but the surface has an unusual silver sheen, while the pot is still brick red; a very hard technique to duplicate.
This urn is about 6" diameter, and 7 1/2" tall with its lid. It holds about 6 cups, or 3/4 the volume of a standard adult cremation container. It could also accommodate a large dog.
